market leader in the 3D conversion business, Legend is evolving by broadening
our expertise in both 2D VFX and VR. We are expanding our Production teams to manage and produce projects in these emerging areas. These positions will be based in our Hollywood studios.
VR/VFX ProducerThis position requires in depth experience in client relations, VFX
and VR pipelines and terminology, a background in bidding, budgeting,
scheduling and project management. The successful candidate will have
current knowledge of standard industry rates and timelines for VFX
and/or VR projects, and be willing to creatively problem solve
out-of-the-box solutions on the fly. They should also have great
working relationships with artists, and artist teams.
Requirements include past experience in the VFX industry in resource
planning, preproduction planning/project setup, and executing the
project’s scope of work to completion while maintaining productivity
while hunting for efficiencies at every turn. Given the fast pace of
VR/VFX projects, strong excel and database skills are required.
VR/VFX Line ProducerServing
in support of the VR/VFX department, this position manages the bidding,
scheduling, budget overview, resourcing allocation and management,
artistic team management, and overseeing general department flow. This
is a key role within the department, as the line producer is responsible
for having the widest understanding of what it takes to complete a job,
and what it costs to complete a job. Although not technically involved
in the individual show management, the line producer functions to
ensure that all shows have what they need to be successful, while at the
same time liaising between multiple show prod, the creative
supervisors, and upper management to ensure efficient work flow, proper
pricing, and effective resource allocation.
Requirements include possessing a strong VR/VFX background with the
ability to forecast production hurdles, potential cost over-runs, and
strategic planning. The ideal candidate is a person who brings a sense
of calm to what can be a frantic environment. The successful candidate
will able to think through all of the puzzle pieces with a clear head
under pressure. A working knowledge of on-set production management is a
plus.
VR/VFX CoordinatorThis position is responsible for implementing and overseeing the
schedule of production shots for an assigned project. The Coordinator
will partners with creative management to take ownership of the
production schedule and budget of assigned shots from launch to
completion. Coordinators play an integral part of show communication and
ensure that creative teams have production guidance and are clear on
priorities and tasks. They are the conduit of information between the
floor and VR/VFX Management.
Requirements include being detail-oriented, have strong tracking
skills, have a working knowledge of VR/VFX specs, ingest/outgest
processes, combined with a general understanding of databases and excel
spreadsheets. Success in this position is measured by the ability to
wear multiple hats, the ability to stay calm in a crisis and to maintain
focus under pressure.
