VFX Producer/ Line Producer / Coordinators

Description

A market leader in the 3D conversion business, Legend is evolving by broadening our expertise in both 2D VFX and VR.   We are expanding our Production teams to manage and produce projects in these emerging areas. These positions will be based in our Hollywood studios.

VR/VFX Producer

This position requires in depth experience in client relations, VFX and VR pipelines and terminology, a background in bidding, budgeting, scheduling and project management.   The successful candidate will have current knowledge of standard industry rates and timelines for VFX and/or VR projects, and be willing to creatively problem solve out-of-the-box solutions on the fly.  They should also have great working relationships with artists, and artist teams.

Requirements include past experience in the VFX industry in resource planning, preproduction planning/project setup, and executing the project’s scope of work to completion while maintaining productivity while hunting for efficiencies at every turn.   Given the fast pace of VR/VFX projects, strong excel and database skills are required.

VR/VFX Line Producer

Serving in support of the VR/VFX department, this position manages the bidding, scheduling, budget overview, resourcing allocation and management, artistic team management, and overseeing general department flow.  This is a key role within the department, as the line producer is responsible for having the widest understanding of what it takes to complete a job, and what it costs to complete a job.  Although not technically involved in the individual show management, the line producer functions to ensure that all shows have what they need to be successful, while at the same time liaising between multiple show prod, the creative supervisors, and upper management to ensure efficient work flow, proper pricing, and effective resource allocation.

Requirements include possessing a strong VR/VFX background with the ability to forecast production hurdles, potential cost over-runs, and strategic planning.  The ideal candidate is a person who brings a sense of calm to what can be a frantic environment.  The successful candidate will able to think through all of the puzzle pieces with a clear head under pressure.  A working knowledge of on-set production management is a plus.

VR/VFX Coordinator

This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing the schedule of production shots for an assigned project.  The Coordinator will partners with creative management to take ownership of the production schedule and budget of assigned shots from launch to completion. Coordinators play an integral part of show communication and ensure that creative teams have production guidance and are clear on priorities and tasks. They are the conduit of information between the floor and VR/VFX Management.

Requirements include being detail-oriented, have strong tracking skills, have a working knowledge of VR/VFX specs, ingest/outgest processes, combined with a general understanding of databases and excel spreadsheets.  Success in this position is measured by the ability to wear multiple hats, the ability to stay calm in a crisis and to maintain focus under pressure.
