- 5+ years industry experience or related experience.
- Experience on 1 or more AAA titles in a similar role
- Mastery in lighting fundamentals how lighting effects mood, gameplay, and frame rate in real-time environments.
- Proficiency in asset creation software for authoring and organizing game content including but not exclusive to Maya, Photoshop, Perforce etc.
- Expert level understanding of physically based materials and workflow. Be prepared to demonstrate your knowledge.
- Expert level understanding of physically based lighting and real-world dynamic range. Be prepared to demonstrate your knowledge.
- Expert level understanding of photography, color correction and post effects
- Strong understanding of global illumination and light baking techniques
- Familiarity with photogrammetry
- Familiarity with physically based reference renders/path tracers is a plus.
- Proficiency in Level art generation in regards to real-time lighting techniques such as vertex baking, light maps, light probes, etc.
- Good communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- B.A. in fine arts or relevant curriculum or equivalent skillset
