3D Artist
Description
Who are we?
Carbonated is a mobile entertainment studio based in Silicon Beach. The company was founded by industry veterans who’ve built and run some of the biggest games in the world at companies like EA, Sony, Zynga and Blizzard.
We’re looking for driven and talented folks who love games and building product as much as us.
Our focus is on talent and attitude. Sure, experience is a plus, but that’s only a small part of what makes a great contributor, great. Let's learn and experiment together then deliver something we’re all proud of.
Who are you?
As an artist at Carbonated, you’ll be expected to concept, create, texture, and light, anything from basic models to user interface. We’re still growing, and we’re looking for a talented artist to grow along with us. You’ll wear many hats, perhaps even eventually a manager or mentor hat, but at the end of the day, you’re a doer, like us.
You’ve spent hundreds of hours honing your artistic skills - degrees are nice but portfolios speak volumes
You’re at your best when working with others. You’re not afraid to speak up, take critique, or push for and take ownership of something you passionately believe in
You’re familiar with Maya or Max and Photoshop
You’re someone who wants to take creative risks and enjoys solving problems
You’re a passionate gamer yourself and understand how the aesthetic and fiction of a game can be just as impactful as the core game loop
What will you do?
Concept and help to create dynamic environments for multiple styles of play
Collaborate with senior artists, engineers & designers to define & create the look & feel of our products
Concept, model, texture, and build assets for our products
Give and receive constructive and creative feedback across art disciplines
Learn and grow with us
Sweet, how about extra credit?
You have experience in Unity
You have experience with UI/UX design and tools
You’ve made and/or are excited about mobile games
You think working in a cool building near the beach sounds like your idea of fun
You like bikes, dogs and/or kids
Don’t forget to include a resume, cover letter, and a link to your portfolio - we like pretty pictures.
