Quality Assurance Lead (Temp)
Description
Monolith Productions seeks a Quality Assurance Lead to join
our team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for overseeing the
quality assurance effort for the entire title in liaison with our external QA
partners. The QA Lead works closely with the production team, development team,
peers and testers to create a complete testing process. In addition the
QA Lead is a QA leadership role, where the QA Lead is responsible for
stewarding and supervising testing personnel assigned to the QA Lead’s project.
Responsibilities
- Work with external QA
and the development team to establish thorough test plans and expectations
of product quality in accordance with QA and development team goals.
- Communicate with the
external QA team and provide a clear plan of what to test and what to look
out for to maximize testing effectiveness.
- Liaise with off-site
testing team to ensure they have everything they need to get the most out
of each testing cycle and address or escalate any issues impacting test.
- Compile test reports for
the development team
- Report external QA
metrics to QA management
- Analyze test cycles and
provide reports to development team on problem areas
- Manages day-to-day
activity in the issue tracking database, including routing issues, providing
feedback to testers on the quality of their bug write-ups, and helping perform
end-of-project triage.
- Communicates with
development and production teams to provide timely and accurate updates related
to the project and immediately escalates critical issues to appropriate
stakeholders. Provides feedback to production and development on the
state of the game via issues reported in bug-tracking software, timely project
status updates, and via e-mail and face-to-face interactions while working with
QA Manager.

understand the game development cycle and can direct the focus of QA testing to
address the needs of the development team through all critical stages of the
project lifecycle.
- Communication: You are
able to use a variety of communication techniques to effectively report the
status of QA testing as it relates to project health. You know how to identify
critical data and provide concise actionable analysis for that data.
- Multitasking: You are
able to nimbly adapt based on changing project needs and effectively
reprioritize your workload as well as evaluate and communicate priority tasking
to the QA team.
- Emissary: Experience
managing communication with external partners to ensure cross-team alignment
and successfully achieving benchmarks in quality.
