Look Development Artist
Description
Purpose of the job:
The Look Development Artist works as part of the Look Development team that defines all the technical
and aesthetic aspects needed to create the appearance of a 3-D element.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of VRay and Maya or similar raytraced renderers
- Fluent with node-based shading networks
- Creating shader networks in VRay and Maya to hand off to lighting for use in shot production
- Participates as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions; provides
feedback to other team members of the production
- Linear color pipeline/understanding of colorspaces and global illumination problems and
techniques
Education and/or Experience Required:- Strong knowledge of VRay and Maya
- Strong problem solving ability and proven good creative eye
- Basic Nuke skills
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, and take direction from Supervisors
- Must provide solid lookdev and/or lighting examples with detailed breakdown
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:- Office working environment
- Hours for this position are based on normal working hours but will require extra hours pending
production needs
