Mid-Level Compositor
Description
Lytro Immerge is the world’s first professional Light Field solution for Virtual Reality. From the proprietary multi-camera capture system, to the rendering and post-production software and tools, Immerge enables content creators to achieve life-like presence through 6DoF (six degrees of freedom). The Immerge post-production team is looking for a Nuke compositor to join us on a 6 month contract. In this role, you will be focused both on product development as well as the production of groundbreaking VR content for Lytro and our partners. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compositing, tracking, grading, rotoscoping, plate preparation, paint, clean up, etc.
- Combine and integrate all the layers or elements of a shot in a 360° degree environment, including live-action and computer graphic elements.
- Partner with the VR supervision team to plan the creative and technical approach to new and novel VR productions.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver user friendly tools, both stand alone and written specifically for Nuke and or other compositing packages.
- Contribute to the testing and definition of an efficient and easily translatable workflow for external artists using Lytros proprietary Light Field technology.
- Produce beautiful content for external partners and internal customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years in the VFX industry experience with advanced skills in stereoscopic compositing.
- Expert Nuke user, with a strong Nuke’s 3D environment.
- Critical eye for detail and color precision.
- Ability to create Gizmos.
- Strong Rotoscoping and painting skills.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience in 2d to 3d conversion.
- Knowledge of photography, practical lighting and cinematic principles.
- Silhouette, Mocha Pro experience.
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Python Scripting skills.
