Society6 is looking for a 3D Generalist with experience in consumer goods to join the team and serve as a coordinator and creator of premium design and product assets for millions of products across all distribution channels from our Santa Monica office.

You’ll Report To: Director, Marketing of Society6

A typical day as a 3D Generalist might include:

• Assisting in the production and execution of physical product photo shoots
• Modeling our catalog of physical products for photorealistic renderings, helping with lighting, rendering, and compositing.
• Manipulating and preparing product previews rendered from subsequent imagery and digital assets
• Closely collaborating with Design and Marketing teams to maintain a cohesive brand tone
• Staying apprised of, and implementing against, latest developments and competitor trends in product imaging
• Effectively communicating project status, progress, and challenges with project stakeholders

You’ll be successful if you are a highly creative and collaborative image wizard with a penchant for innovative new methods and technology. We’re looking for an ambitious and driven self-starter who wants to be on the leading edge of innovation in online media, art, and technology.

What You Have:

• 2+ years’ experience working with Blender (Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, Animation, Compositing)
• 2+ years’ experience with Marvelous Designer
• Experience with UV mapping in Blender.
• Experience with external renders (Vray, Arion, Cycles, Luxrender)
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Extreme attention to detail at the sub-pixel level
• A strong blend of both creative and technical design focus 
• Intensive familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates experience with the above responsibilities and requirements 
• Basic Video Editing capabilities
• Basic Photography skills

Huge Pluses:

• You’re a member of and have used Society6
• Experience with After Effects, Premier, or Houdini
• Background in eCommerce
