Graphics Coordinator

Description

The Graphics Coordinator (GC) exists as the liaison between various production arms within the FOX Sports/FOX Sports Net divisions and the graphics department. The line management for the position is from Graphics Coordinator to VP Graphic Production.

Responsibilities

  • Providing daily studio show support.
  • Physical act of correctly delivering projects.
  • Under close supervision of Producer, assist in covering nighttime or weekend edit sessions.
  • Organize Department masters into working Production masters.
  • Research.
  • Create books, locate files, tapes or archived shows from Tape Library.
  • QC all elements
  • Ensure correct delivery of projects.
  • Under close supervision from Graphics Producers and Graphics Production Manager, begin to understand and accomplish what it takes to initiate, work through department and deliver projects to end user

Qualifications

  • College Grad preferred.  Basic TV or Graphics production experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge in the following areas required: digital graphic file formats, file sharing, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong working knowledge of the following devises required: transcoding machines & Viz RT Graphic Systems
  • Working knowledge of all graphics systems in the department and how they relate to one another, and to the equipment of the requesting party;
  • Strong working knowledge in the following areas required:   FOX Sports/ FS1/FOX Sports Net Sales department structure and GC’s role in the sales process, The Broadcast Associate Program and how GC relates to the position.
  • Strong Understanding of department technologies as it relates to file transfer from studio to remote production units. 
  • Fundamental understanding of time management techniques as they relate to the GC position.
