Cloth/Hair Artist

Purpose of the job:
The Cloth/Hair Artist partners with peers and show Leads to rig
and simulate digital wardrobes, hair styles and fur.
|
|
Essential
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Will
simulate clothing and/or groom hairstyles based on reference and artistic
direction
- Run
simulations for shot production
- Collaborates
on the creation of tools and methodologies for a show based cloth and hair
pipeline
- Provide
troubleshooting and problem solving support
|
|
Education and/or
Experience Required:
- Ability
to work as a team player in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
- 3+
years of production experience as an Artist, ideally with a focus on
simulation
- Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, or related field, or comparable work experience
Skills, Abilities,
Special Licenses or Certificate:
- Expertise
in Maya
- Proficiency
in Python and Mel ideal
- Strong
communication skills
- Strong
problem solving skills

Working Conditions and
Environment/Physical Demands:
- Office working environment.
- Hours for this position are
based on normal working hours but will require extra hours pending
production needs.
- Walking/bending/sitting.
