Senior Marketing Manager

Purpose of the job:

The Senior Marketing Manager will play a critical role in the planning and execution of the company’s marketing activities, including messaging, advertising, design, social media, events, website maintenance/development, SEO, product launches, customer references, partner marketing, support of the business development team and internal communications. This role will both manage external vendors and serve as an individual contributor, and will work closely with the PR manager and counterparts in Asia to coordinate cross-channel campaigns.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Drive content for use in public relations, website, advertising and social efforts
  • Work closely with business development teams to provide marketing support
  • Manage and maintain the website, liaise with international teams to coordinate localization of the site
  • Liaise with and support parent companies’ marketing efforts
  • Manage the company brand and help evolve the message
  • Drive the company’s activity across social media channels
  • Manage North American paid search campaigns
  • Manage the company’s presence at events and tradeshows
  • Manage the launch of and contributions to the blog
  • Work with partners on joint-promotions and awareness campaigns
  • Manage budgets and timelines across marketing campaigns
  • Track and report campaign metrics, present findings for data-driven marketing
  • Support internal communications (including Intranet) with writing/editing guidance; keep employee base apprised of company activities 

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • College degree in communications and/or marketing or a related field, and/or a combination of education and experience equivalent to that level of professionalism, problem solving, and analytical skills required
  • 7+ years work experience required in entertainment, preferably the VFX Feature Film, virtual reality and/or Commercials/Advertising industry

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate: 

  • Knowledge base of current industry technology trends preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise with social media tools and channels
  • Portfolio and writing samples evidencing successful marketing campaigns required
  • Familiarity with visual effects industry is desired
  • Experience in production environment is desired
  • Ability to self-manage, and to prioritize and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • International business experience a plus

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: 

  • Office working environment
  • Hours for this position are based on normal working hours but will require extra hours pending production/business needs
  • Walking/bending/sitting
