Quality Assurance Lead

We are looking for a QA Lead to join our growing team. You will be a core team member that will lead testing across our platform and mobile products. This position is accountable for organizing, managing, and carrying out the daily testing tasks for local testing on all projects across all platforms. The QA lead will be responsible for triaging and documenting bugs in order to support developers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in product testing using varied platforms and technologies, including but not limited to: Mobile (iOS, Android), Web/DB/CMS (NodeJS, MongoDB, SQL), Desktop (Unreal Engine, Unity), VR/Motion Control/Touch (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, GearVR, PSVR)
  • Execute, diligently and methodically, manual black box and gray box testing, research, and bug reporting.
  • Maintain and execute test plans and test scripts.
  • Maintain and create technical documentation.
  • Deploy test automation tools.
  • Draft status reports, attend meetings, and actively communicate progress.
  • Configure and deploy virtual machines (Virtual Box or equivalent) and clean test environments in a Microsoft Windows ecosystem.
  • Manage and maintain demo and QA equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of QA testing experience with a thorough understanding of QA methodologies.
  • 1+ years of experience in QA testing in a similar software/hardware environment.
  • Highly organized and analytical with a critical eye
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-disciplinary, art, programming, production and technology teams.
  • Experience working on short-timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move 25 pounds.
  • Must be familiar with standard software development methodologies, basic IT troubleshooting (networking, software/hardware troubleshooting), how to erase and re-install Windows and common internal PC hardware components and their installation/configuration

Optional, but a major plus

  • Passion for VR
  • Experience working with video and high standards for video quality
  • Test automation (Selenium, Blueprint, or equivalent)
  • Version control (Perforce, SVN, Git, or equivalent)
  • Continuous integration (Jenkins, Buildbot, or equivalent)
  • Scripting languages (Lua, Python, SQL, and/or C++, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with a start-up
