Middle Tennessee State University seeks a full-time animation instructor. Our campus is located thirty miles from Nashville Tennessee, one of the best economies and top-rated places to live in the nation.

Our Animation program is one of the oldest in the nation and has over 150 majors enrolled. We have close ties to ACM SIGGRAPH and host one of only 19 local SIGGRAPH chapters in the world. We have excellent facilities including a render farm, several studios, traditional animation facilities, an equipment checkout system for our students, and strong relationships with adjacent programs such as filmmaking, live television production, and interactive media. We are part of MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment.

The successful candidate must be able to teach courses related to all aspects of animation including 3D, 2D, motion graphics, special visual effects, television graphics, traditional animation, animation history and aesthetics using current industry standard tools.

The position begins August 1, 2017.
