Release Engineer (Temp)
Description
Monolith Productions, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks a Release Engineer
to work closely with the award-winning team behind the Middle-earth: Shadow of
Mordor franchise, to help power the development of Monolith's next generation
of console and PC games.
As part of our studio's highly collaborative engineering group, you will
have ample opportunity to share your experience and expertise on the
development of games, tools and technology.
Opportunities for involvement in the creative process will also present
themselves throughout the course of each project.
This job will require collaboration with Build Release, QA and Production on
a daily basis. You will also work
closely with our Engineering team and members of the content teams to ensure
that changes are being promoted and released effectively, balancing the need
for timely feature delivery and fix sharing to our team via Stable builds
against optimal branch stability.
The Release Engineer will report up to the Build Release Manager and
Director of Technology Management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Configures,
compiles, assembles and delivers source code for timely release to team.
- Tracks
and maintains accurate status of versions of code and open issues, maintains
and updates release documentation.
- Installs
and builds code using automated scripts, develops and enhances automated
scripts.
- Troubleshoots
problems with configurations and builds.
- Provides
leadership / training for less experienced / technical members of the team
- Ensures
the assembly and delivery of source code and assets according to the
development schedule.
- Configures,
compiles, assembles and delivers source code for timely product release.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years experience white-box testing of both runtime and tools
- 3+ years experience leveraging version management systems to control
the flow of code and digital assets through development branches
- 3+ years experience releasing development assets to a team and supporting
those releases
- 2+ years of engineering-specific education or equivalent technical experience
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines
- Familiarity with coding languages and engineering principles
