Core Software, QC Engineer
Description
Purpose of the job: You will develop and execute software test plans, troubleshoot issues and work closely with development teams to resolve problems. This
position requires someone who is team-oriented, technology savvy and driven
to produce quality results.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional, Integration, and Performance testing
- Develop test code, scripts, test tools, and execute test
cases to validate software releases
- Investigate, debug, and conduct root cause analysis
- Test and assess quality of existing and new website
features and bug fixes
- Create and maintain manual test suite for our websites and
applications
- Work collaboratively with developers, product managers and
business users
- Be the final gatekeeper before live deployment, i.e. you
will make the final recommendation to the Global Pipeline Supervisor and/or
Lead Core Software Engineer on whether a feature is fit to go live
- Drive quality process and technology improvement for the
development team
- Understands and follows standard software engineering
processes and best practices for requirements, design, implementation and
testing
- Works with Core Software
to design, define and deliver automated tests and ensure better test
coverage
- Provides automated testing support through test script creation
- Maintains tools, integration, and technologies to support a
highly reliable development environment
- Integrate with the development team and champion good
development and testing processes
- Develop and integrate new tools to fill gaps
- Integrate systems and tools into existing code base and
processes

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Required:
College degree in Computer Science or a related field
and/or a combination of education and experience that would be equivalent to
that level of professionalism, problem solving and analytical skills. 3-5 + years work experience required in web testing, 3D
computer graphics for digital animation or visual effects film or similar
experience In-depth experience with cross browser and cross device testing In-depth knowledge of Manual Testing Good analytical skills and ability to develop comprehensive
test scenarios based on specifications Experience with bug and test management tools like
Bugzilla, ShotGun Excellent written and oral communication skills Quick learner with an inquisitive mind-set looking to find
out why, how, what etc. Ability to multi-task effectively and willingness to go the
extra mile when required
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or
Certificate:
- Previous experience with Drupal sites
- Previous experience with manual multi-lingual testing
- Knowledge of database testing in MySQL, Oracle or SQL
Server
- Knowledge of automation testing
- Experience of working in an agile environment

- Office working environment
- Hours for this position are based on normal working hours
but will require extra hours pending production needs
- Walking/bending/sitting
