Resource Manager

JOB TITLE:                                  Resource Manager

REPORTING TO:                          Director of Production  

 

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

Working in a dynamic and creative business environment, the Resource Manager is responsible for the internal resource management programme across the production department in Brown Bag Films Dublin and Manchester

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Resource Management:

The objective of the Resource Management portion of this role is to manage our internal talent pool to align individual skills and preferences with client project needs, as well as the overall financial objectives of the business.

 

1.  Assignment of Resources

•  Proactive management of staff availability, including communication to all relevant partners as necessary.

•  Ensuring compliance with staffing allocation process against project needs and business objectives.

•  Work closely with HR partners to ensure resource personal time/vacation is up to date.

 

2.  Resource Management

•  Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming projects, staff skills base, historical experience, preferences and development needs to ensure appropriate allocation of staff resources to specific projects.

•  Work with line managers to coordinate and roll-out training to further develop internal resources, supporting career development and the updating of project-based skill requirements.

•  Maintenance of all provided resource data.

 

3.  Reporting

•  Analyze resource usage and productivity reports, and provide recommendations on appropriate action plans or required activities.

•  Preparation and/or review of ad-hoc reporting requests from Director of Production.

•  Responsible for monthly resource reporting, including headcount, consistently ensuring data integrity.

 

4.      Hiring & Onboarding

•  Partner with HR and hiring managers to identify role requirements, selection process, timelines and approach;

•  Participate as an active member of the interview team;

•  Support various initiatives within talent acquisition and talent management.

•  Support hiring managers with onboarding and induction

 

 

 

INDIVIDUAL SKILLS

•  1-2 years of internal resource planning preferred.

•  A deep understanding of recruitment and resource management requirements in a creative environment.

•  Superior communication skills, able to facilitate and negotiate in staffing discussions.

•  Tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.

•  Excellent judgment and strong problem solving skills, with superior agility navigating multiple priorities and/or difficult situations.

•  Ability to influence and drive results at all levels of an organization, building relationships with both staff and senior leadership.

•  Experience preparing and interpreting reports for delivery to key stakeholders.

•  Professional, friendly, customer-centric with a flexible attitude.

•  Computer literacy and advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, as well as Gmail and Google applications.

 Desirable:

 - Previous experience in a Production/ Studio Resourcing environment

 - Strong ability to work with L&D function to create and utilize skills matrix/breakdown of talent pool within the studio.

 Aiming to hold interviews end of May 2017
