The Technical Coordinator for On-Air Systems Support will
report to the Director of On-Air Systems Support for the Creative Services
Group, located in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for
Software Systems Engineers for all Sports
Assist
remote crews with interfacing venue scoreboard data
Assist
remote crews with interfacing SportVision pitch speed data
Assist
remote crews with truck computer networking issues
Assist
remote crews with updating of sponsor elements on their systems
(game flows,
ticker flows & scoreboard chips)
Research
missing High School, College & Minor League teams and add them to
application databases (city, nickname & team colors)
Test
new application feature updates from Software Engineering
Document
software bugs & report them to Software Engineering
Test
bug fixes from Software Engineering
Job Description
The Technical Coordinator for On-Air Systems Support will report to the Director of On-Air Systems Support for the Creative Services Group, located in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for Software Systems Engineers for all Sports
- Assist remote crews with interfacing venue scoreboard data
- Assist remote crews with interfacing SportVision pitch speed data
- Assist remote crews with truck computer networking issues
- Assist remote crews with updating of sponsor elements on their systems (game flows, ticker flows & scoreboard chips)
- Research missing High School, College & Minor League teams and add them to application databases (city, nickname & team colors)
- Test new application feature updates from Software Engineering
- Document software bugs & report them to Software Engineering
- Test bug fixes from Software Engineering
- Facilitate new software installations in house
- Download, format & test elements from graphics
- Post graphic elements for download by production teams (sponsor logos, team logos, headshots, databases, scripts, etc.)
- Coordinate shipping of new system replacements to various locations
Qualifications
- College education with a major in television, film or computer graphics is preferred.
- 5 years experience in a technical production environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computer networks
- Knowledge of database and application programming a plus
- Strong familiarity with Windows/PCs
- Familiarity with Photoshop preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment but also be pro-active during down times
- Must be able to multitask
- Must have flexible hours and available on weekends
