Entry Level - Help Desk Administrator

We are a Los Angeles based feature film production company creating movies in an AR/VR space. We are in search of skilled Entry Level Help Desk Administrator. This is a unique entry level technical opportunity to work with some of the best creative minds in the film industry.

You will be responsible for helping to support sensitive data movement and management needs within our facility, as well as administrative support to the team.  You will integrate into an existing systems team and work beside developers, engineers, cg artists and production personnel. You should be driven, positive, and interested in the opportunity to learn new technology and workflows, while adapting to the changing needs of a cutting edge film production.

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Film Production or equivalent work experience.
• Technology Aptitude / Problem Solver
• Good interpersonal skills

Appropriate Candidate will possess:

• Proven experience working well with teams
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work early/late shifts as required
• Ability to adhere to technical quality control standards / detail oriented
• Experience working on multiple platforms (Linux, Mac, and Windows)
• Understand of technology basics (Networking, SSH, SCP, FTP, and command line tools / shell)
• Comfortable working with the file system at the command line level (Linux)
• Detail oriented and able to manage several tasks at a time.

Additional Skillset:

• We are willing to train / but you must have a technical aptitude, comfort working within a Linux Shell
• Some Scripting Experience (e.g. Python, Perl) a plus
• Knowledge of, and experience with, 3D animation software (e.g. Maya) highly desired.
• Experience working with databases a plus
• Knowledge of networking, tape backup systems, hardware a plus
• VFX, animation or production experience a plus
