Data Mover / IO Assistant - Entry Level

Who we are:
We are a Los Angeles based feature film production company creating movies in an AR/VR space. We are in search of a skilled IO Coordinator / IO Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the best creative minds in the film industry.
As IO Coordinator / IO Assistant , you will be responsible for assisting in the transfer of encrypted and multi-formatted data to our vendors and production crew securely and in a timely manner. You will be actively transferring data to and from various teams both inside and outside the facility, communicating with these teams to ensure materials are being transferred properly, troubleshooting transfers and working closely with the IT department to ensure that any issues are resolved quickly. There may also be the need to assist with IT support from time-to-time.

You should be driven, positive, and interested in the opportunity to learn new technologies and workflows, while adapting to the ever-changing needs of a cutting edge film production.

Required skills:
•         Technologically proficient.
•         Flexible schedule.
•         Basic understanding of file transfer protocols (Aspera, FTP, scp, etc).
•         Experience with Windows, Mac OSX or Linux.
•         Python or Bash scripting a big plus.
•         Comfortable working within a command line (Terminal).
•         Have a basic understanding of computer networking.
