DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for an experienced Storyboard & Editorial Coordinator to join our team! 

As the Storyboard & Editorial Coordinator, you’ll ensure that the Storyboard Artists have all necessary materials for production, and monitor all deadlines for each board to ensure that final delivery is made. After the final boards are delivered, you’ll be responsible for prepping the board panels for edit, and assembling the rough cut of the animatic for Director review. You’ll track the board and animatic through the various revision stages until lock cut and conform.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Work directly with the Producer to create and send out Storyboard Packages
• Ensure that the Storyboard Artists have any updated materials (designs, scripts)
• Track every single board in production through its various stages (this could be up to eight or more different boards per week)
• Schedule meetings between Storyboard Artists, Storyboard Supervisors, and Directors as required
• Ensure that all storyboard deadlines are met for each episode
• Prep meetings
• Thumbnail reviews
• Track revisions and schedule Revisionists’ time
• Maintain the flow of communication between the Storyboard Artists, Storyboard Supervisor, and Production
• Prep board panels and assemble the animatic in Avid Media Composer
• Ensure copies of conformed boards get to Editors, Department Supervisors, etc;
• Order supplies for the Storyboard Artists
• Liaise with the Design Coordinator for board pulls
• Support senior editorial personnel

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Diploma in TV/Film, preferably with a specialization in Editing
• 1+ years of television experience required, with some experience in 2D animation
• 1+ years of experience in Avid Media Composer 
• Working knowledge of Sketchbook Pro and Adobe Photoshop 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Animation experience, particularly in Flash is an asset
• Post Production experience is a definite asset
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Ability to apply flexibility to work
• Ability to assemble and motivate a talented and diverse crew
