The Palo Alto team is looking for a technical artist to work on simulation for self-driving vehicles. Our challenges are unique and you will have the opportunity to build up realistic 3D worlds to accelerate the development of self-driving technology. You should be passionate about recreating the world in a virtual environment how it really looks like. If you are curious with a positive and humble attitude you will feel at home in our team of experienced engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Develop techniques to simulate realistic worlds in a 3D engine

• Implement shaders, write code, draft prototype models and textures

• Work closely with artists to let them build large realistic worlds in no time

• Work closely with engineers to develop the world's best simulation environment

• Stay up to date on latest render and model technologies and spread your knowledge

 Requirements

• We are mainly looking for senior candidates, but also consider highly-motivated and highly-skilled junior candidates.

• Good communicator with positive and humble attitude

• Hands on with writing scripts and shaders and with modeling and texturing

• Experienced with common render engines like Unity3D or Unreal Engine

• Experienced with common game technology tools like Houdini, Speedtree, Substance, Blender, etc.

• Able to work in a fast paced environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity

• Good programming skills in C# or C++ a plus
