The successful candidate should hold an advanced degree in a related field, although a Bachelor's degree, along with significant and exemplary professional experience, will be considered.
A minimum of five years professional experience in an animation and visual effects related industry, and college-level teaching experience is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates who have in-depth knowledge and skills in areas including, but not limited to, story telling, principles of design, composition, digital animation, rendering and procedural effects. Successful applicants will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities include teaching eight courses per year over three terms (Fall, Winter, Spring) covering introductory to advanced topics across the undergraduate and graduate programs, in addition to student mentoring; pursuit of research, scholarship, and creative work; curriculum development; and service at collegiate and university levels.
