Want to make awesome cartoons with amazingly talented teams in a cool new studio?

DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for an experienced Prop Designer to join our team! 

As the Prop Designer for this well-established girl’s property, you’ll be in charge of creating exciting, dynamic and detailed props that fit the style of the show; from cars, to books, to food and more! For this position, we’re looking for a portfolio that shows a variety of styles with a strong understanding of proportion and dimension, and a keen eye for detail!

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Working with our Art Director and other Designers to create engaging props according to the style of the production
• Translating prop description from script to visual design
• Submitting multiple design variations and revisions based on feedback from Directors

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Experience in Adobe Flash is required
• Experience designing props on a series preferred
• Strong drawing ability and a solid sense of design for 2D animation
• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school desired
• Experience in 3D Design is an asset
• A strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective, dimension and dynamism
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Ability to communicate professionally and positively
• Well organized with good time management skills
