Want to make awesome cartoons with amazingly talented teams in a cool new studio?

DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for experienced Builders/Riggers to join our team! 

Are you the kind of person who loves both the creative and technical side of 2D Animation? Are you a problem solver who is all about attention to detail? We’re looking for Builders/Riggers to add the first element of life to the characters and props in one of our awesome Flash animated series!

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Work under the direction of the Builds Supervisor to create and revise the requested style of characters and prop builds for 2D animation
• Keep characters and props in proportion and on model
• Innovate solutions and troubleshoot to create efficient builds
• Organize and manage own work and files efficiently
• Work within tight deadlines and meet assigned weekly quotas and expectations
• Work collaboratively with other Builders and departments in a team environment

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school
• 2+ years of relevant work experience on a 2D animated production, with prior experience in Flash Builds preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Flash
• Experience with Harmony Builds is an asset
• Strong, expressive drawing skills
• Technically inclined, solution-oriented with strong problem solving skills
• Ability to take direction and follow established naming, layering and network conventions
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
