VFX Assistant

Description

Alt.vfx is looking for someone to join their team in the newly established LA office. The role is to support producers and freelancers working in the facility and mange the office from a technical standpoint. The right person will be working with the new team to ensure work between LA and the Australian based offices is as seamless as possible. The role would be suite to someone with a background as an assistant editor, junior compositor or an aspiring online artist.

As the office is just getting started we are looking for someone will a well-rounded skillset across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

·      Coordination of data between LA and AUS facilities

·      Support and prep work for freelancers working in the building such as

o   Flame artists

o   Colourists (Da Vinci Resolve)

o   Editors (Avid and Premiere)

·      Communicate with external vendors to complete work such as roto and panit

·      General IT support for the office (Phones, Wi-Fi, conference systems, upgrading and installing new workstations etc.)

·      Assisting with office running and client service where necessary

Requirements

·      At least an intermediate understanding of the following software

o   Avid

o   Premier Pro

o   Photoshop

o   After Effects

·      Experience with Nuke Studio and Flame/ Flame Assist would be highly valued though not necessary
