FUSEFX is looking for a systems / network
administrator with experience in Media and Entertainment. We are a visual effects and animation
studio focused on producing photo-real digital effects for feature film,
episodic television, and commercials.
Required Qualifications:
·
experience with networking, including architecture across multiple
sites
·
in-depth experience with IOS-standard commands
·
experience with firewalls, virtual routing interfaces, VPNs, etc.
Palo Alto experience preferred
·
experience with VLANs, Access Control Lists, inter-site links,
MPLS a plus
·
solid knowledge of Windows and OSX platforms
·
experience building and operating high availability and high throughput
networks
·
minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional systems engineering
environment
·
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Media/Technology or comparable professional experience
·
ability to lift 50lbs to standing height and assist with heavier
objects
·
excellent English fluency, verbal and written
Additionally Desired:
·
Brocade experience a big PLUS (ICX/VDX/Fiber Channel)
·
Active Directory experience, O365 experience a plus
·
experience with VMware, ESXi
·
experience with enterprise-grade storage: EMC Isilon, Qumulo
·
Quantum Stornext experience
·
Linux administration and scripting knowledge
·
experience with artist support: Adobe, Autodesk, Foundry, etc
·
post-production support experience: Avid, Assimilate Scratch,
DaVinci
·
knowledge of render farms, experience with Thinkbox’s Deadline a
plus
·
experience with cloud-computing, specifically AWS
· experience related to disaster
recovery, business continuity, backup systems, tape libraries
Responsibilities and Duties
· LAN/WAN administration functions for
Infrastructure systems; management of switches, routers, WiFi, Alarm/access
control, telephony, firewalls, and sys log servers/utilities
· maintain high-level security standards
required in a post-production environment
· regularly review and propose
improvements to security
· assist in administering servers and
network services: AD, DNS, DHCP, SMB, NFS, SFTP, Aspera, etc.
· support I/O and editorial departments
to facilitate client delivery
· clearly document existing systems and
new implementations
· assist to architect upgrades and solutions
based on needs, budgets, and deadlines
· strong desire to learn new technologies
and explore possibilities
· ability to solve problems unsupervised
and recommend proactive technical solutions
· excellent communication and
organizational skill with strong attention to detail
