Animation has exciting opportunities for talented Production Co-ordinators with
experience of CG feature animation to be involved in our first film. Based in London, and partnering with Double
Negative’s new Feature Animation division, we will be creating a high
quality CG movie in partnership with 20th Century Fox.
As our Story
Co-ordinator you will support the Production Manager and Department Production Manager to
ensure that the Story team has all necessary materials for production. You will
ensure the deadlines and creative goals for each sequence are met and track boards
through the various revision stages until reels are locked. You will monitor
deliveries and communicate changes to ensure the schedule is accurate. You will be the principal production liaison
between your team and other departments.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to think
proactively about production issues and quickly adjust and adapt when
necessary. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best story
artists in the field.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Production Manager, Story
Department Production Manager and Head of Story, to manage a team of twelve or
more in-house and remote story artists.
- Take detailed creative notes at pitches and reviews.
- Process story panels for delivery to Editorial
and other downstream departments.
- Understand individual artist’s needs and provide support with updated
materials (designs, scripts, etc.).
- Meet with artists regularly to ensure consistency
of communication.
- Ensure all sequence deadlines are met and
consistent with creative goals.
- Draft and manage distribution of all
production paperwork, including creative notes, launch materials, staffing
schedules and timesheets.
- Schedule and prepare meetings.
- Support use of production management systems
and approval workflows.
- Co-ordinate production travel and expense
reports.
- Act as department liaison for production and
accounting teams.
Position
Requirements- Minimum 3 years’ experience at an Animation or VFX studio.
- Hands-on production co-ordination experience
on at least one feature film in this or similar role.
- Well-versed in all aspects of the CG animation
pipeline and industry best practices, particularly as they relate to the Story
Department.
- Highly organized and resourceful with
excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines with
a sense of initiative and accountability.
- A passion for Feature Animation and working
knowledge of international story talent.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, Bridge) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Proficiency in Flix, Storyboard Pro, TV
Paint, Avid and Shotgun a bonus.
