Working in a busy creative environment, the Director of Production is responsible for overseeing multiple long form animation productions. The role involves managing key Production and Creative teams and will play a key role in the Studio management team.
Key Areas of responsibilities:
· This is a senior role and will oversee and manage the day to day operations of a busy TV Production department.
· Lead, mentor and develop Producers including managing performance, one to one’s and developing talent.
· With the Producers, ensure the Production teams are resourced correctly to manage multiple productions.
· With the Producers and Technical Director, manage and maintain knowledge of current and upcoming projects, staff skills base, historical experience, preferences and development needs to ensure appropriate allocation of staff resources to specific projects.
· With the Senior Leader on site, produces sales schedules and budgets for future service and IP productions
· With the Producers, collates and produces monthly EP dashboard reports
· Manages and oversee production cost reporting, collating and delivering overall reports to the Senior Leader in Manchester.
· Responsible for managing all IP client relationships
· Deliver (in collaboration with Finance) appropriate reporting to ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept updated on progress.
Requirements
· Must have animation series Producer credit on 3 or more series with experience in managing long form animation productions across all departments
· Excellent understanding of a 2D computer animation Pipeline
· The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be skilled at managing upwards and downwards.
· High level of competence in making well founded decisions in a high pressure environment
· 3+ years in a management position ideally managing managers, possessing strong leadership and people management skills
