Senior Story Artist

Aardman are seeking a senior story artist with strong storytelling ability and leadership skills to work alongside our head of story and co-director for our current feature film project. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in working on animated feature films as a story artist. They will also have experience in leading a team of artists and getting the best out of both them and the script pages provided.

You must be able to work from our Aztec West site in Bristol. The current duration of the contract is February – April, but could possibly extend depending on story needs.

To be considered for this role, you should have proven drawing and storytelling ability with an excellent understanding of composition, layout and editing. You’ll have a strong sense of drama, a great sense of humour and ideally digital storyboarding expertise (i.e. on a drawing tablet with Photoshop). You’ll be able to work on your own initiative as well as to a brief and you must be happy working to tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
