VFX Supervisor

Sparx*, one of the leading external partners in the CG industry, is seeking an adventurous VFX Supervisor who enjoys the challenges of travelling while also doing the work you love. We have a group of young, dynamic, eager to learn artists, and we want your help to expand our repertoire. You will help develop our live action VFX pipeline as we engage with the biggest client names in the film industry! Our VFX team is leveling up, we need you:

• Work with our team leaders and supervisors as they manage junior and senior 3D / 2D VFX artists.
• Ensure our team is up to the task of creating high end VFX for live action sequences
• Manage communication with clients about artistic and technical matters
• Establish VFX production pipeline in coordination with clients requirements
• Work with the team leaders and supervisors to ensure technical and artistic quality of deliverables
• Proven ability to articulate a VFX shots art and technical needs, and help lead the team to meet our objectives
• Technical expertise to decide which technologies to pursue and which to avoid
• Participate in recruitment and develop training programs for new talent

Does this sound like you?

• Excellent 3D experience in the following software, Maya, Nuke, Arnold, Houdini,
• Strong artistic aptitudes, skills in 2D design, drawing, photography, etc.
• Experience creating and optimizing VFX pipelines
• Experience managing teams of “creative geniuses”
• Passionate about VFX in the film and television industry
• Highly organized outgoing individual with an eye for details and a passion for leading and mentoring
• Bachelor degree in Arts, Film or related major with 10+ years’ experience
• At least 4 years’ experience as VFX Supervisor or Senior VFX Team Leader, with hands-on technical experience.
• Killer portfolio with a number of well know films included.
• Good working knowledge of English is a must
