THE
ROLE
We
are looking for an experienced Chief Technical Officer with exceptional
qualifications whose main responsibility will be taking our technology to the
next level and helping us to establish it as a de facto Cryptocurrency Standard
for In-Game Commerce.
This
is a key position reporting to the company CEO with a broad range of
responsibilities that includes overseeing a team of 50+ developers and IT
engineers.
Additionally,
the CTO will be a member of the company Executive Team, working with the CEO,
COO and Product Leader to determine company strategy and technical execution.
OUR COMPANY
Our company is a one
year old 100 + person European startup with the most
successful ICO in gaming history, raising $19M. We are in the process of establishing our HQ in Santa Monica, CA and building out our US team.
Our parent is a group
of European gaming companies whose business includes development and wholesale games reselling (15M games sold over the
past 5 years). Additionally, we are the leading private merchant of
digital goods and the second biggest virtual items marketplace (10M items sold
over the past year). Located in one of the oldest and most beautiful
European cities with rich history, we are a part of a vibrant high-tech and
venture capital scene. We work hard while

RESPONSIBLITIES

Setting
company technical vision
·
Vetting
new technologies, setting technology direction and leading company’s
technological development
·
Overseeing
current technology stack
·
Developing
strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and
deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
·
Ensuring
technology standards and best practices are met
·
Establishing
software development process and set objectives for process
·
Sharing
technological visions within the company, as well as our partners
·
Ensuring
company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements,
laws, and regulations
·
Representing
company at conferences and networking events
SKILLS
AND EXPERIENCE
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned technology executive
with at least 5 years of experience as a CTO at a marquee software/gaming
company – ready, able and willing for the adventure of a lifetime! We are looking for somebody who combines a
huge passion for games with previous experience architecting large-scale
distributed systems.

Technical
ability and strong personal drive to conduct research in current, as well
forward-looking technologies and business
trends, including Digital Engagement, Big Data, AI, Solution Architecture, Mobile,
IoT, Enterprise Integration, CI/CD and others.

Experience in Architectural
Design and development of successful High Load/Big Data web projects
·
Detailed understanding of
Software Architecture and Optimization techniques.
·
Solid knowledge of
Programming Languages (C++. Rust, Go, PHP, Node.js), as well as DBMSs (MySQL,
SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB).
·
Thorough understanding of
Security Issues on multiple levels
·
Familiarity with
Blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Solidity, etc.)
·
Experience building and
overseeing large 50+ person teams of developers and IT engineers
·
Ability to deal with uncertainly,
unexpected situations and unforeseen issues
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Previous experience within the following game
companies is highly desired: Valve, Electronic
Arts, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Riot Games, Warner Brothers (game unit), Nintendo,
Sony, and Sega.
EDUCATION
M.S. in Computer
Science, Mathematics or equivalent.

This is a full-time exempt position
available immediately.
TRAVEL
25% + -- domestic and international travel.
