The Production Analyst is responsible for forecasting and monitoring financials for all projects to help ensure that all shows are delivered on time and budget. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of production forecasting and financial analysis methods, and will work closely with the Executive Producer, FX Producers and other production crew.

Primary Responsibilities

• Initially, the role will be focused on establishing financial systems and processes to ensure delivery of robust forecasts and reliable tracking of financial performance against budget.
• Delivery of financial analysis and reporting that provides insight into performance against budget
• The preparation of financial forecasts, including risk assessments and show spend scenarios.

Essential Skills

• Experience in establishing financial systems and processes
• Proven financial analyst experience including cost analysis, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, integrate, and analyse large amounts of data into meaningful information that informs management decision making
• The good judgement and interpersonal skill to be able to use financial information to successfully influence key stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• BCom Finance or similar
• Expert in Excel
• Proven background in effectively dealing with multiple stakeholders

Desirable skills

• VFX, film, or television industry experience, preferably in an accounting or financial analysis capacity
• Scenario modelling
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science
• Focused on continuing improvements to the organization
