Art Supervisor

Supervise a team of environments and characters designers, making sure the characters packets they create are aligned with the Production Designer and the Film Directors.

• Is the link between the Directors, the Production Designer, Environments and Characters Design teams
• Attending the artistic meetings and following the Directors and Production Designer guidelines, gives notes to the artists to achieve the productions style, deadlines and the quality according to the production plan
• Must ensure the artistic continuity of the characters and environments during the whole production
• Responsible for distributing the tasks to the artists, together with the Production department
• Is the link between Environments and the Characters Design Department and the rest of the studio departments. He/she must understand and take decisions of the department pipeline and processes together with the CG Supervisors and Head of Production
• Attends the supervisors and studio meetings
• Handle the artistic team guiding them to the achievement of objectives, managing their expectations and personalities, and giving them support and motivation
• Confer with creative, art or production department heads to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, when necessary
• Present and defend the work done by the department in the artistic meetings

• At least 10 years of experience within the animation or illustration industry, in the field of visual development and/or characters design
• At least 6 years of experience managing artistic teams
• Strong experience understanding film Director´s guidelines and requirements, and giving notes to the team members

• Desirable good understanding of 3D computer graphics theory and practice. Understand the work of other production departments, such as modeling, shading,
CFX, lighting and how the character designs affect their work
• Advance understanding of anatomy, expressions and versatility in styles
• Advanced English level, Spanish knowledge will be a plus
• Strong knowledge in Photoshop, Sketch Book or similar
