About Arraiy
Arraiy is building a platform for audio-visual storytelling. We are using machine learning and computer vision to enhance ease and expressive power of artists, directors and other content creators in all areas of visual content: movies, games, augmented and virtual reality, sports and concerts. Arraiy is in its seed stage, working with customers and partners including major production studios, Grammy award winning artists, and others to make our platform usable and effective.
Opportunity
We're looking for a Visual Effects Compositor to join our small but growing team and help us develop ground-breaking visual effects technologies for motion pictures. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about technology and digital media and interested in a hands-on, start-up experience. You will be in a unique position to see and influence how a business defines itself during its Series A phase and have an opportunity to work with some of the brightest and most passionate people in computer vision, machine learning and digital cinema.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high fidelity chroma screen extraction mattes and/or hand articulated mattes (roto)
- Process and composite created or machine generated elements into final composite sequences
- Work with Visual Effects Supervisor to develop new AI driven compositing techniques
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ Years experience as a visual effects compositor
- Deep knowledge of chroma screen extraction, articulated masks and match-moving techniques
- Experience and understanding of computer graphics and visual effects workflow
- Experience with Nuke and node-based composite pipelines
- Strong communication skills -- articulate, courteous, and friendly
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pluses
- Familiarity with 3D Effects in Nuke, Maya and/or Houdini
- Technical understanding of camera systems
- Experience with location cinematography
