Senior Graphics Hardware Engineer

Then our Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) has opportunities for you. VPG delivers Intel's 3D, Media, Display IP Technologies. The Hardware group is within Visual Technologies Team and we design and validate the future Processor Graphics engines for mobile, desktop and server platforms that will lead the graphics market in power and performance.  This position entails RTL design, validation and verification capabilities of the Display IP. You will work on research and development of next generation graphics IP designs to continually improve the performance thus ensuring that the platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components.

In this position, you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Strong team player responsible for understanding architecture specifications, handling industry-standard Verilog based models, and verification test bench for the Display Hardware Design and Verification team.
  • Member of a team of highly skilled engineers with an ability to drive forward innovation in many technical areas concurrently.
  • Stakeholder management and strong communication on deliveries and risks to ensure that all engineering commitments are delivered successfully.
  • Drive efficiency improvements through innovation and adoption of best development flows and methodologies.


Qualifications

Minimum Skills and Experience that will get you notice:

You should have a Bachelors in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field  with 7+ years of experience. A Masters with 5+ years of experience is preferred.

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Proficiency with Logic Design and Computer Architecture
  • Experience with Hardware Description Languages (System Verilog, Verilog), Programming Language (C/C++).
  • Experience with Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design tools such as Synopsys VCS* Verdi* logic simulator, System Verilog*, Synopsys* Design Compiler, Synopsys* Primetime, Linting Tools, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Spyglass*
  • Experience with RTL validation
  • Experience with test development, test plan handling, and test coverage assessment
  • Proficiency with scripting in Python, Perl, or equivalent languages to drive automation and design efficiency.
  • Experience with modern verification methodologies UVM, OVM and random stimuli verification.

Preferred skills and experiences that will make you stand out:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in: Display Interfaces, memory usage, and SoC domains including power management, testability, and data flow.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in various Display industry standard peripheral controllers and interfaces – Display Port, HDMI, MIPI DSI.
  • Experience with Formal Property Verification (FPV), developing and executing complex test plans including directed and random content, expertise is Assertion Based Validation and Coverage Based Validation.
  • Experience executing and debugging test plans on emulation systems and FPGA platforms (like Synopsys HAPS, Synopsys ZeBu, Cadence Palladium, Mentor Veloce platforms)
  • Experience with low power design practices and measurements.
  • Experience debugging at system level in post silicon environments.
  • Experience as design leader and mentor driving innovation and transformation.
