Lead 3D animator
Description

As a lead animator, you are responsible of supervising and ensuring the quality of the animations produced by the animation team and subcontractors working on the current projects of the division in order to ensure it follows the vision and direction established.
More specifically, you will :
- Guide, supervise and review the animators work;
- Ensure all the animations on the project respect the vision established by the film director and apply corrections when needed;
- Establish solutions to problems that arise during production while answering the creative and technical needs and keeping optimisation in mind;
- Supervise all the aspects of the animation production: team productivity, style, quality and uniformity of the animation and technical constraints while taking into account any priority changes;
- Adjust the detail level and the animation effects to the needs and constraints of the project;
- Participate in the professional development of all the animators under your supervision by giving them guidance, directives and support so as they can improve artistically and professionally;
- Participate in team and department meetings;
- Participate to the budget planning and monitoring of all animation ellements;
- Carry out all other related tasks when required;
Requirements :
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the film/CG industry;
- Advanced knowledge of the all the aspects of animation (rigging weighting, modeling, lighting, texturing, animation, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Maya;
- Great communication skills in french and english;
- Great organisation skills, ability to meet deadlines and production quotas;
- Leadership and team-management skills;
Assets :
- Strong knowledge of MotionBuilder;
- Knowledge of 3DSMax
- Having previously worked on a mocap project
