Departmental Administrative Assistant

Description

SCAD seeks an administrative assistant to join the university’s photography department.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support services to the office of academic services, chair of the photography department, dean of the School of Communication Arts, and all faculty and staff members within the organizational structure of the school.

Additionally, you will collaborate with academic operations managers to help departments meet requirements and deadlines on operational matters. Collaborative projects will include accreditation initiatives with institutional effectiveness; recruitment efforts with admission; student matters with the office of student success, registrar, and career and alumni success; professional partnerships with the Collaborative Learning Center; academic content for printing and publishing with creative services; awards and rankings with institutional recognition; and more.

The ideal candidate has superior communication, project management, interpersonal and organizational skills. Your responsibilities will require confidentiality, accuracy, punctuality, responsiveness and agility.

You should demonstrate discipline, honesty, integrity and the ability to handle multiple priorities, and be comfortable working both as part of a team and as an individual contributor. A familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential, as well as knowledge of Banner or a similar database.

Requirements:

— Bachelor’s degree
— One to three years of related experience
