Assistant Coach, Swimming

Description

SCAD, the first art and design university in the U.S. to offer a comprehensive intercollegiate athletics program, seeks an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s swim teams.

In this role, you will assist the head coach in the overall administration of the program, including recruiting, coaching, advising student-athletes, monitoring academic success, managing equipment and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of the sport, its terminology, skill base and practices, as well as an understanding of NAIA guidelines, federal regulations and other policies governing intercollegiate athletics. You should demonstrate strong commitment to student development and possess excellent leadership abilities and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to motivate recruits, student-athletes, and alumni to support the program is a must.

The ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and holidays is also necessary.

Requirements:
–Bachelor’s degree
–Minimum of two years collegiate coaching experience
–Valid driver’s license
