Student Financial Support Specialist
Description
SCAD seeks a student financial support specialist to manage student accounts and assist students with financial aid concerns.
In this role, you will help students understand their financial aid accounts, accept or facilitate payments through available self-service technology, negotiate mutually agreeable payment arrangements between the student and the university, and regularly contact students with outstanding balances.
This position has a 10-month work year, with non-working periods during December and a month in summer to be decided.
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills, and demonstrates attention to detail and a focus on customer service. You should also have a valid driver’s license and the ability to become an approved driver on the SCAD insurance policy.
Requirements:
- Four to six years of related experience, including cash, check or charge handling, collections or management of financial statements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
