Chief Television Engineer

Description

The Chief Television Engineer at SCAD Atlanta oversees the day-to-day operations of the SCAD Digital Media Center, ensuring the equipment, studios and checkout area are functioning to meet the needs of students. The Chief Television Engineer will also help supervise and train employees who manage the checkout center operations and provide support for Apple- and Windows-based applications and operating systems.

The 60,000-square-foot SCAD Digital Media Center houses academic majors within the School of Digital Media and the School of Entertainment Arts, including animation, interactive design and game development, motion media design, television producing and visual effects.

Requirements:
— Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences or a related discipline
— Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including education, training and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position (such as information technology and technical broadcast experience)
— Minimum of five years work-related experience in video editing and postproduction operations; experience with Avid ACSR ISIS 5000 System Support and Avid ACSR editing systems support are preferred
— Strong supervisory and management experience; ability to effectively manage complex projects and large budgets
— Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional organization and time management skills
