Web Content Strategist

SCAD seeks a visionary Web Content Strategist with proven professional experience working with online content in desktop and mobile environments.

The Web Content Strategist will join our growing Interactive Services team, reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, and must excel in a collaborative environment. This person will help drive interactive initiatives, working with graphic designers, web developers, and content editors to shape a variety of digital messaging and assets to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

The Web Content Strategist will also serve as the point-person for applying SEO best practices and specific techniques for enhancing search rankings to ensure high visibility for online deliverables and continued growth in organic traffic. Crucial requirements include strong working knowledge of content management systems (CMS); experience in deriving actionable insights from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO monitoring tools; and an understanding for managing sitemaps, redirect strategies, metadata and indexing rules on a page-by-page basis.

The ideal candidate is an extraordinary communicator, extremely organized, capable of handling multiple projects within an Agile environment, and equipped with a naturally inquisitive yet positive mindset.

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Arts degree (English, journalism, marketing, writing or professional communications concentration preferred). Master’s degree preferred.

· 3-5 years of professional experience.

· Must be able to hand-code basic HTML.
