SCAD seeks an International Student Services Office (ISSO) adviser to work with students in-person, over the phone and via email to advise them on their immigration status as it pertains to their studies during and after their time at SCAD. The ISSO adviser must keep abreast of changing laws, rules, regulations and administrative procedures concerning international students studying in the U.S. You will serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) with respect to reporting requirements to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Additionally, you will manage fsaAtlas alerts and be knowledgeable of batch processing registration of F-1 student files to the USCIS Student and Exchange Visitor Program database. You will also assist with managing orientations, programs, workshops and cross-campus collaboration to help students acclimate to American cultures and norms. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience as a DSO or comparable international education knowledge, understands F-1 student visa regulations, and has experience designing and implementing relevant events and workshops. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in international student services, the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to work with accuracy and meet internal and external deadlines. Proficiency in speaking multiple languages is preferred. Requirements:
