CHARACTER ARTIST 

Deck Nine Games currently has an opening for a 3D character modeler to join our amazing art team. If you love making expressive, quirky and memorable characters that fans fall in love with we’d love to talk with you. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Create character assets for an upcoming console title
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently while adhering to the established art direction
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivation, able to accept constructive criticism and art direction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new methods and techniques for asset creation
• Ability to adapt to new art styles 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A portfolio link showcasing your highest quality 3d and 2d artwork
• Proficiency creating 3d assets using Zbrush and Maya
• Proficiency creating 2d artwork in Photoshop or Substance
• Solid understanding of artistic fundamentals such as light, color and composition
• Solid understanding of the human form, proportions, and mechanics

Our passion is storytelling games. We love the relatable characters of a game like Life is Strange and the amazing action storytelling from games like Last of Us. 

Our first game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm has won multiple awards, including Game of the Year and we were nominated for both BAFTA and VGA awards. 

We are an independent game developer and are currently developing character-focused adventure games. We’re growing and have a major title in development with a top publisher.
