Director of Career and Alumni Success

SCAD seeks a director of career and alumni success to provide vision and leadership to the department.

The director of career and alumni success will assume leadership of all career advising teams. You will partner with faculty, staff and all other appropriate individuals, companies and organizations to find and secure meaningful professional opportunities for SCAD students and alumni. In this role, you’ll closely collaborate with students, alumni and other university constituencies to establish, develop and implement unique, innovative and visionary programs to serve both current students and SCAD graduates.

The ideal candidate has the ability to establish metric-driven career-preparation strategies to meet the evolving needs of SCAD students, alumni and industry partners. You have more than five years of progressive experience in career services, recruiting and talent development in supervisory roles. You also have a comprehensive understanding of the art and design industries and student career development.

Additionally, you are able to motivate a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that is often evolving. You can also communicate and collaborate with university leadership, students, alumni and parents. Strong budget management, presentation, organizational and project management skills are a must, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in analyzing information management systems.

Requirements:
– Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required
