Technical Sewing Specialist

Description

SCAD seeks a technical sewing specialist to advise and assist fashion students with garment production.

In this role, you will help students with fabric preparation, pattern layout and marking, garment assembly and pressing. You also demonstrate industrial- and hand-sewing skills as well as fine finishing techniques and can operate industrial sewing machines to carry out these duties.

Knowledge of factory production, tools and machinery is essential, as is excellent attention to detail and the ability to take direction and complete projects independently.

Requirements:
–Fashion degree or relevant work experience in fashion-related field.
