The Halo Infinite team of SkyBox Labs is seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join us! As an AI Software Engineer, your collaborative work will come to life, developing new character behaviours and maintaining critical gameplay systems. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about AI development, who prioritizes continuous learning, and who loves playing games.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling and dynamic AI behaviors and combat mechanics
• Support and extend existing AI and gameplay systems
• Work closely with both the SkyBox game team and our partners to design, document, implement, and maintain new systems
• Develop technical proposals, schedule work, and accurately estimate tasks 
• Create well architected systems that enable fast iteration

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional AI software engineering experience or an equivalent
• 4+ years of professional C++ experience
• Experience shipping a AAA title on PC or console
• Advanced math skills
• Extensive understanding of AI driven gameplay and AI systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong debugging and optimization skills in a multi-threaded environment is ideal, but not required
• Experience developing in a multiplayer environment is preferred, but not required
