Infrastructure Director

Description

Primal Screen, crafters of award-winning, engaging experiences for film, television, interactive, gaming, mobile and environmental media, seeks a seasoned Infrastructure Manager to support our digital design studio. This is a full-time position located in our Atlanta GA studios.

Required:

Minimum 5 years experience with production workflows and pipelines in a professional digital design environment, with understanding of broadcast or linear workflows.

You should:

Be comfortable serving as a bridge between management, production and technology teams to ensure a broad understanding of studio-wide objectives to enable disciplined and proactive decisions regarding technology investments.
Have experience thinking on your feet and the ability to deliver high quality work under pressure.
Be a self-starter who can gather inputs quickly and drive decision making while providing leadership for direct reports.
Have a technical focus but be comfortable working with creative decision makers.
Have the ability to troubleshoot technical problems in a digital workflow.
Have the ability to configure and administer Windows and OSX client hardware for production focused results and the ability to keep an EMC Isilon NAS and workgroup server tuned for project success.
Have the ability to write glue code, scripts, edit settings, etc., in a multi-platform environment including Windows, OSX, and Unix/Linux environments. Significant software development is not required but you must know your way around the command line and text editor.
Have experience with custom workflow integration including plugins, render farms and servers.
Have experience related to disaster recovery, business continuity, backup systems, tape libraries, SAN and NAS knowledge.
