Lighting and Compositing Artist

Description

Element X is seeking an experienced Lighting, Render and Compositing Artist to join our Dallas team.

• Strong lighting, color theory, and look development skills
• Experience with both photo-real and stylized 3D animation
• Ability to light and composite for both full CG and live action CG
• Solid understanding of how to collaborate in 3D/CG pipeline
• 3D camera tracking ability
• Modeling/UV/Texturing/Surfacing skills preferred
• 2D Live Action projection/paint/roto skills a plus

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of high end 3D software, specifically Maya and Nuke
• Experience with Redshift 3D rendering preferred
• Working knowledge of render farm management software, specifically Royal Render
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team and take direction
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
• Minimum of 3 years of production experience in a production pipeline
• A cool head when staring down the barrel of a plasma rifle (Hey, it could happen)
