SENIOR CHARACTER SURFACING ARTIST
Job Description
The Senior Surfacing Artist will work with the
surfacing supervisor to develop the look of character from texturing until
shading on feature film for Hasbro’s boulder media.
Responsibilities
·
Work closely to
surfacing supervisor to find the look of different asset
·
Ability to work with the
other department as modeling, groom and lighting
·
Follow-up and build
texturing/shading for all asset assigned in time
·
Understand and
anticipate the texture reference from the art department and to find the good
balance between cartoon shapes and realistic look
·
Ability to develop the
artistic and technical process
·
Mentoring and guiding
mid and Junior artist in techniques/software and artistic experience
·
Find solution to fix
artistic and technical issue
Qualifications
·
4-5 years CG experience,
ideally within feature films
·
Have a good artistic and
technical skills
·
Strong experience in
texturing and shading on Character rendering with fur
·
Strong knowledge on fur
ray trace rendering
·
Strong knowledge on the
texturing map editing : Mari, Photoshop, zBrush…
·
Knowledge to build a
shader in the nodal interface
·
Knowledge of Katana and
Arnold a plus
·
Knowledge of Shotgun a
plus
·
Production experience
with a modern raytracing render engine
