Summary
of Position
The Department of Computer Science at University of
North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track position as
an Assistant Professor to begin August 2019. Duties include teaching in the
undergraduate and graduate computer science programs, maintaining an active
research program, and directing undergraduate and graduate students.
Minimum
Requirements
Ph.D.
in Computer Science or closely related area required.
Preferred
Qualifications
Research
with emphasis in machine learning and artificial intelligence is preferred.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Computer Science offers a B.S.
degree in computer science, a B.S. degree in information technology, an
interdisciplinary B.A. degree in digital arts with the Department of Art and
Art History, an M.S. degree in computer science and information systems and an
interdisciplinary M.S. degree in data science with the Department of
Mathematics and Statistics.
The Computer Science department currently has sixteen
