Graphic Designer

Description

Delivering world-class creative is what we do. Our award-winning, in-house agency leads the charge in creating smart, engaging content that embodies the SCAD lifestyle and personality — and allows SCAD to continue producing the most creative students on the planet. SCAD transcends traditional university culture with innovative academic programs, museums, film festivals, fashion shows and signature events that cultivate creativity beyond the classroom. If you’re passionate about creative, collaborative by nature, and up for the challenge to bring something special into the mix, let’s talk.

The Graphic Designer reports to the Art Director within Creative Direction. This creative and strategic thinker tells the SCAD story through compelling graphics as part of Savannah’s largest creative team. This team member creates inspired communications including ads, internal and external publications, signage and more. The Graphic Designer produces comprehensive and effective layouts, manipulates graphic elements and type, prepares files for production and assists the art director with creative concepts and designs.

The ideal candidate demonstrates an ability to take direction, follow instructions and be open to constructive feedback with a professional and positive attitude. Thorough understanding of design principles, production and layout skills and demonstrated expertise using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as demonstrated experience in building and producing designs for both print and interactive media are a must. You possess excellent time-management skills, an ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and strong, refined typography skills including logo design and brand development.

• Minimum four years of experience
• Dynamic portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of ability
